WinShop SQL at a glance
Product sheet- What it is for
Point-of-sale (POS) system · Store and warehouse management
- Who it is for
Shops and store chains across sectors: fashion and textiles, jewellery, florists, butchers, groceries, stationery, sport and building materials.
- Where it runs
On your own server and in the cloud
- How it is paid for
Licence and rollout. A licence per installation, plus rollout and support. The scope depends on the number of stores, tills and required functions, so the set-up is put together to fit the business. WinShop SQL can be extended as needed with WinShop CLOUD, which makes selected sales and warehouse functions available in a web browser and is paid for by the number of logins.
One system instead of five tools
WinShop connects till sales, warehouses, central store management, wholesale and e-commerce. You therefore do not have to manage data on goods, prices, sales and stock separately in several unrelated applications, and goods received at head office appear at the till and in the online shop without exports.
The solution can start in a single store and gradually grow into a chain of branches with shared management of the product range, warehouses, price lists and sales processes.
The records your sector requires
WinShop adapts its records to the specific type of goods. In fashion it works with variants such as colours, sizes and collections. Jewellers need records of weight, fineness and other parameters or printing of specialised labels, while butchers and meat processors use weighing equipment, recipes, records of origin and support for WELMEC metrology requirements, from cutting to counter sales.
In groceries you can track batches, expiry dates and returnable packaging, for example, while florists rely on seasonal goods and writing off unsold stock. Stationery and building materials retailers, in turn, need to work efficiently with tens to hundreds of thousands of items and different pricing terms for individual customer groups.
Who sells with it
WinShop was founded in 1997 and has delivered more than 5,500 licences to customers. Today the system is used by retailers in several European countries, and its publicly listed references include Footshop, PRECIOSA, FERONA and the GUESS and Calvin Klein stores operated by Prodes.
Running in shops that have to sell every day
How we get it running for you
Five steps from consultation to day-to-day operation
Consultation on your operation
We go through how you sell, your warehouse processes, the number of stores and tills and the systems you already use. We determine which parts of WinShop your business really needs.
Solution design
We select the modules, the operating model, integrations and hardware you need and prepare a rollout plan, so you know what will be ready when.
Data transfer
We transfer the data you need from your current system, such as item records, price lists, stock or customers, so that nothing has to be set up again by hand.
Pilot store
For larger chains, the solution can first be verified in a selected store and the same principles then extended to the other branches.
Operation and support
After go-live we provide ongoing support, updates and further development of the solution as your operation, legislation or business needs change.
What you get
Tills, warehouses and head office on one set of data
From a single store to a chain of branches, selling even when the internet is down, and connections to the rest of the business.
Sales, warehouse and head office on shared data
Tills, warehouses and central management work with connected data on goods, sales and stock. Integration with the online shop then helps keep availability up to date across the individual sales channels without manual re-entry and significantly reduces the risk of the same item being sold twice.
From a single store to a retail chain
WinShop can be used in a stand-alone store or in a chain of branches with shared management of the product range, price lists, warehouses and other sales functions.
Selling continues when the internet is down
Tills can work offline even during a temporary loss of the internet connection. Once the connection is restored, the sales made are synchronised with the server.
Server or cloud interface
WinShop SQL can run in a conventional environment and be extended with WinShop CLOUD, which makes selected sales and warehouse functions available in a web browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
Connections to the rest of the business
WinShop can be integrated with accounting systems, EDI, payment terminals, online shops, scales and other devices or applications to suit the specific business.

Integration with your systems

Frequently asked questions
All questions and answersYes. WinShop is designed both for stand-alone stores and for chains of branches. The product range, warehouses, prices, sales and other business data can be managed centrally across the individual outlets.
Till sales can continue offline. Once the connection is restored, the sales made are synchronised with the server automatically, so a short internet outage need not stop the till.
It depends on the number of stores and tills, the amount of data to transfer, integrations, hardware and the scope of the adjustments required. For larger chains the rollout can be split into stages, with the solution first verified in a pilot store.
