We are looking for an experienced PHP developer to join NEXTERA tech, part of the E LINKX group. Become a developer who helps determine the direction our product takes.
We are looking for someone who does not wait to be assigned a ticket, but proactively suggests how to do things better, smarter and faster. We develop MES systems for manufacturing companies: solutions that make a real difference to how factories plan and manage production and work with data.
Our projects are long-term, technically diverse, and built on quality. And because the world of software development is changing faster than ever, we are looking for someone who wants to lead that change with us, including working with AI, agents, and automation.
Who we are looking for
- You have years of experience and have seen many projects from the inside and outside.
- You know when it makes sense to take a shortcut and when, on the other hand, to build something properly.
- You ask yourself why and how, and you can find the answer yourself or formulate a precise question for others.
- We are not looking for a junior or someone who merely carries out assigned tasks.
What you should know
- Several years of experience developing web applications in PHP, ideally five or more, and a clear view of what good code should look like.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, application architecture and database design, and the ability to justify your decisions.
- Experience with the Nette framework or another modern PHP framework and a desire to keep improving our stack.
- Hands-on experience with AI: you know how to work with LLMs, build or integrate AI agents, design applications that use AI effectively, and extract insights from data using AI tools.
- Ability to set the technical direction: design a solution, justify it, gain support for it, and see it through to production.
- An overview of current development trends and a willingness to test new technologies before they become mainstream.
- Responsibility, independence, and the ability to communicate clearly with both the team and people outside development.
- If you enjoy creating smart solutions, setting the direction, and don't want to just “complete tasks”, we'll get along.

Technologies you can look forward to
- PHP 8.4 with the Nette framework.
- Doctrine ORM, Nette Database, MariaDB.
- Docker for environment management and Git for version control.
- Test-driven development (TDD) as a quality standard.
- Custom AI agents, LLM integrations and data extraction tools. We are actively developing them.
- Jira and Confluence for development management and documentation.
- Room to try out new technologies and suggest what else should be added to our stack.
